DEFINITIONS

Mental health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act, and it plays a crucial role in how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. 

Good mental health is characterized by: 

Emotional well- the ability to manage emotions and cope with life's challenges.

Psychological resilience- The capacity to bounce back from adversity.

Social connections- having supportive relationships and a sense of belonging.

Self-awareness - Understanding one's own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.


 A healthy lifestyle refers to a set of behaviors and choices that promote physical and mental well-being. It involves adopting habits that contribute to overall health, such as regular exercise, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, stress management, and positive social connections. A healthy lifestyle also includes engaging in activities that bring joy and fulfillment, practicing self-care, and seeking support when needed.

Both mental health and a healthy lifestyle are interconnected. Taking care of one's mental is essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and vice versa.
